Richard's father was Ed Blair, a NYC poet in the sixties and the co-inventer of Interlingua, an international language that anyone knowing two romance languages can read. We have put a Interlingua link up for you linguists out there, but his other great achievement was his poetry: of growing up in the south and living in NYC.
