1947 Born in Durban, South Africa.

1967 Graduated from University of Natal with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics.

1969-70. Left South Africa, hitchhiked around Europe,traveled around the U.S.A.

1970-74 Worked as a journalist for the Daily News, in Durban, South Africa. Area of interest was African education. Left South Africa because of disagreement with the Apartheid policy.

1974 Settled in California. Supported myself as a street artist.Lost the sight in my right eye as a result of a tumor. Published a book of poetry and had poems included in two anthologies. Began to focus on painting as my primary medium of self expression.

1976 Met Richard Blair. Married in 1978.

1981-82 Studied painting at San Francisco State with Richard McLean and Robert Bechtle. Started series of large scale paintings of hand tools. The magnification shows the ingenuity of the tool’s design. and gives the tool personality. Studied drawing at College of Arts and Crafts with Susan Hauptman.

1987-91 Painted the Grand Canyon series.

1988 Moved to Inverness. Started painting and photographing in west Marin.

1995-96 Article on South Africa published in Point Reyes Light Article on the Mount Vision fire published in San Francisco Examiner Magazine. Article on Bali published in San Francisco Examiner Magazine.

1997 Designed and supervised building of house in Inverness.

1997 Photography assignment in Vietnam, Singapore and Hong Kong.

1999 Wrote and published the cloth bound edition of “Point Reyes Visions”. It was number one on the best seller list in Marin. and number 11 in the Bay Area

2001 Represented by Barry Singer Gallery, a photography gallery in Petaluma, CA

2001 Published “Point Reyes Visions” as a paper back.

2001 Bought Epson10000 printer. It enabled us to make archival prints in our studio.
